Green With Envy

Our Client had been dreaming of remodeling her kitchen for a while, so when that became a reality, she had very specific wants.  One of those was the custom Chappell Green cabinet color she requested; most people would be afraid of that bold tone, but she embraced it.  Being a true chef, she knew she needed large work areas of open counter-tops, streamlined storage, and work zones based on the way she prepared her meals and entertained guests.  Using stained cabinets to accent certain areas really adds character to this custom kitchen.  The paneled appliances were a must and they give this kitchen a streamlined integrated look.

The cooking zone is designed with many custom storage options surrounding the range.  A prep sink not far away in the island provides a quick place to rinse.  At the main sink; having the built in double trash can, dishwasher, and added adjacent storage at arm’s length make this a great area for rolling, slicing, and dicing.  All in all she is thrilled with a kitchen that allows her to utilize her ideas for work flow and space along with top of the line appliances to suit her cooking and entertainment needs.

When planning a kitchen such as this there are many challenges for our designer.  For example: fitting in all the large appliances in the right spots.  This is not an easy task and since this was a remodel our designer had to plan the best work flow making the adjoining rooms flow into the kitchen space making it feel like it has been there all along.  We added a large prep island to allow people to have many traffic patterns to and from the kitchen.  A “hidden” appliance garage helps keep the counter-tops clear for plenty of prep room for cooking.  Customized pullouts and deep dovetail drawers make storing large pots and pans very convenient.

This kitchen has so many special features for instance paneled appliances that give them a fully integrated look, a wine cooler that can hold plenty, and a HUGE WOLF RANGE to whip up tasty treats!  In the island there are two refrigerator drawers to keep her fruits and vegetables cool while she is prepping for their friends or a family meal.  There are also warming drawers to keep food warm while they finish up on other items in the kitchen.  All these great appliances ensure everything is ready when needed and their guests will always be entertained.  Their guests can even sit at the custom wood top seating area and watch the magic go on in this kitchen.  All of the custom features like the large pan dividers, double decker drawers, and knife blocks make them feel right at home in this kitchen.  She even planned in lots of display space for her beloved majolica pottery.  Our designer Jeneane Beaver did a great job and worked with our customer to make this kitchen a reality.
